A Gentle Encounter with Barbara

When I saw the name Barbara appear in my order list, I smiled without really knowing why.

She had chosen the Cicada Song Embroidered Bucket Bag.
That bag has always felt special to me — maybe because its round bucket shape feels playful yet nostalgic, like something from a story that makes people smile without knowing why.

I carefully wrapped the bag, thinking about who might receive it.
Sometimes I wonder what kind of person chooses a design like this — a little vintage, a little lively, and full of quiet charm.
When Barbara’s message reached me later, full of gentleness and gratitude, I could almost picture her.
In my mind, she must be a kind and elegant lady, someone who loves small, beautiful things in everyday life.

She is in America; I am here in China, sitting by my small desk, watching my dear teammates stitching the bags while I write.
But somehow, through this little handmade bag, our paths met.
It feels amazing that something created by these wonderful mothers can travel so far, reaching someone who understands its quiet beauty.

Sometimes, when I think of Barbara, I imagine us meeting one day — maybe she visits China, or maybe I travel to her town.
We might sit in a café, talk about life, art, and how small things can make us happy.
Until then, I keep this thought close to my heart: every kind person I meet through my work becomes part of my story.

Thank you, Barbara, for your kindness and warmth.
You remind me that even across oceans, there are gentle connections waiting to be found.
